Visegrad Rowing Academy
Visegrad Rowing Academy is a joint international project connecting rowing clubs from four Central European countries: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Poland.
The aim of the project is long-term cooperation at the grassroots and youth level of rowing, focusing on:
-
basic rowing development
-
joint competitions and events
-
shared training preparation on water, on land, and in winter conditions (snow)
At its core, the Visegrad Rowing Academy is built on the idea that sport is a powerful tool for more than performance alone.
The main pillars of the project are:
-
sharing knowledge and coaching experience
-
connecting cultures and sporting traditions
-
improving language skills through real interaction
-
building an international rowing community
-
strengthening Central European identity and cooperation
The project is interconnected and supported by the International Visegrad Fund, whose support makes it possible to create meaningful, accessible, and high-quality joint activities across borders.
Thanks to this cooperation, individual camps, competitions, and exchanges become part of a broader, long-term vision — one that helps young athletes grow not only as rowers, but also as open-minded, confident, and internationally connected people.
